It seems (nearly) impossible to use a german language pack for nightlies, what causes unfortunally, that it is impossible to check progress in bugfixing for bugs influenced by the language-packs. Language packs are provided with hints like "works only with Nightly Build 2002-04-13-04", but unfortunately allways that special trunk never is available for windows. Only one time (at app. 20 tests) I was more or less successful with a trunk numbered nearby the requkired trunk. In all other cases I could select the language Pack, but without Influence to the appearance. How can I find a Build for a language pack that "works only for Nightly Build 2002-04-13-04" ? As far as I see, several other interested german unsers with WIN have the same Problem.

BTW, "Austria/de-at" is the wrong name for the language pack. Now that non-German people are CCed here, I'll better write English ;-)
Summary: Language pack "Austria/de-at" does not work for "nightlies" with WIN98SE → German language pack (de-AT) does not work for "nightlies" with WIN98SE

Reply to #2 I know link http://www.kairo.at/mozilla/faq.html#NightlyXPI, but here the described tricks do not help (but may be, there is a common reason? Would it be possible to make a special german language pack vor an existing windows build for test affairs? actually, I do not see any possibility that I would create my own language pack for this. I will also try the link ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest-trunk/

During packing RC1 XPIs, I saw my XPIs had some small problems and I corrected everything I could find. This also means, that Windows doesn't need a restart now before switching those packs as a nice side effect. Please try this again with a currently available Nightly XPI Pack, I hope you can apply it now...

Today successful with German Language Pack (www.kairo.at) for Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; de-AT; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 But with several obstacles: had to reboot the PC for several times and to activate first the contents-pack and then the language-pack, otherwise to success.

Marking this fixed because it works since some time ago (with the workaround for bug 142623 that fails some times and we still have to kill XUL.mf[as]l then).
