[Triage@July 5th] w/ team's discussion this seems to be the design and related to Android's behavior when you install an app. @Mihai, would you help me learn more about your concern for the current behavior? Thanks!

Hi Wesly, IMO the app should not be minimized every time you add a shortcut to your homescreen. It's very disruptive in the user's browsing session. If an user adds a homescreen shortcut it's because he wants an easy visit to the site. In the process of adding a shortcut I know I added it, and want to use it later on not right in that moment (plus the fact that firefox will resume to the exact page you added). A notification should suffice, letting the user know that the shortcut has been added.

Thank you, Mihai. It makes a point and may involve some behavior modification. We'll take it into consideration and triage it.
Hi Ninu Thanks for the report. This behavior is intented. Please find bug 1240560 comment 3 for detail. Thanks!
