User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:56.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/56.0
Build ID: 20170621100251

Steps to reproduce:

Navigate to Preference -> Search Menu. Other sections of the browser show a similar symptom, including the on-boarding screen. The main browser chrome seems OK

Actual results:

Multiple translations are "off" / unrelated. For example:
- For the default search engine, there should be the string "Par défaut" (default), instead of a paragraph related to DNT
- The screen title should be something like "Recherche" (search) instead of "Historique effacé"
- The "delete" action in the popup should be "Supprimer", instead of "Vie Privée" (Privacy).

For the sake of the story, this translation caused me to delete Google while trying to tweak the privacy settings. The effect is not completely unrelated :D

Expected results:

Well, the translations should not be shuffled. The translations are OK in Firefox Beta.
Thanks for filing this bug, this is indeed a critical one.

The root cause is actually on the code side, since all locales are affected. Duping against bug 1375401 which seem to track the root cause
