The page /profile/ don't show my send in crash-reports of the last 4 weeks.

I write my Email-Address in Breakpad every time:
[e-mail]

But Google logs me in with:
[e-mail]

It seems Socorro can't manage that Google sends the domain in lower case...
So Socorro should convert domains always to lower case?

Can you not just write your email address in lower case when you submit your crash reports? That would definitely be easier for everyone.

I know my crash-reports - even if I don't find them this way. ;-)

Let the bug anyway open for future fix?

What's about a fix in breakpad that breakpad send out the domain in lower case? ;-)

I understand the issue, but I'm skeptical it has enough impact to warrant fixing in either breakpad (which is a very non-trivial endeavor) or socorro.

I'm going to WONTFIX this for now. If you want to do a PR to fix it or can find someone else to fix it, that's cool--we can reopen.

I changed the domain to lower case, but still have no crashes in the list. Is the problem somewhere else?

Email domains are strange. The RFC says that they are not case sensitive, except the mailbox local-part, unless it impedes interoperability. https://tools.ietf.org/rfc/rfc5321.txt section 2.4

Given the sensitivity of the field, we should take a conservative approach.


Tobias -- can you get me a crash-id? It should be returned on successful submission. Please pass it to me on IRC or this email if you're uncomfortable posting it to this bug.

I grabbed the email from the UUID you provided and can confirm you have at least 6 crashes submitted in the last four weeks in the system. It does look like something is wrong with the profile page but it's not obvious to me.

I have submitted no crashes in the 4 week window. I'll have to come back to this when I have some more minutes.

We stopped collecting email addresses, so this is no longer something we will fix.
