Steps to reproduce:
1. Name a device with none ASCII characters in firefox setting. Here I use Chinese "用户Michael位于Michael-PC上的Firefox".
2. Add this device to Firefox sync.
3. Open "device manager" in Firefox sync, the bug happens.
Actual results:
All the none ASCII characters displays in ??
Expected results:
All the none ASCII characters should be displayed properly.

Besides, Firefox distributed by Beijing Mozilla Online Ltd., which use Chinese version of sync server is not affected. More details can be seen in this post:http://tieba.baidu.com/p/5201723978 (Chinese to your locale language Translation of this page needed). So maybe it's a server side bug.

The FxA server can't display non-BMP characters - I can't find a bug and I also can't find the FxA content-server issue that I'm sure exists for this. Shane, can you help me out?

Thanks for the report! It's definitely a server-side bug, see additional details in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1348298
We know how to fix it, but it involves doing a rather large and scary migration of the server-side database to fix up the unicode handling, so unfortunately it's slow going :-(
