In the mail folder pane, folders appear with bold typeface if there are new
message(s) in that folder.

I have a POP account with several subfolders, mail is delivered into these
folders using filters/rules.

Recently I've seen the folder remain bold long after all new messages in that
folder have been read (meaning there are no new messages). There is no number
in parens after the folder name, and pressing "n" goes to a different folder,
confirming that there are definately no new messages.

Naturally, when all messages have been read, I expect the text to return to a
normal (not bold) typeface. This is how it worked in the past.
