With acrobat reader 5.0 some PDF files could hang and/or crash the browser.
I updated to 5.0.5, which did not crash mozilla anymore, but there was no
content to see.
The next link clicked, after trying to open the PDF file, is offered as "save
as" (in the particular case it is a php3 file).
Unfortunately, the PDF I am referring to, has private and sensitive content, and
the server hosting it is an intranet server.
The PDF file opens normally, if opened directly in Acrobat Reader. If I save it
to the local harddisk and open it from there via mozilla, it works too. Maybe
the problem has something to do with SSL, as the intranet server is only
available over SSL. Unfortunately(?) SSL cannot be the only cause, because there
are lots of other PDF files on this server which work without problems.
