What did you do? ================ 1. Saw the notice about the beta design. 2. Activated beta design. 3. Got horrified. What happened? ============== - YOU SHOULD MAKE THE TITLES EVEN **** BIGGER. - That serif font is horrible. Makes me think of some 21st century USSR. - Actually, that whole beta design is a disaster. What should have happened? ========================== Just keep the current design, which is really good. Is there anything else we should know? ====================================== For one time, Mozilla, please, don't change something for the sake of changing it (and making it worse in the process).
I'm sorry you don't like the new redesign. I know it seems like a dramatic change at first but we have had a lot of positive feedback on the improved readability. Some of the changes we're making now will also let us do more with the site in a few months and I hope those changes will be more useful to you. Things like moving browser compatibility information higher up the page. I would like you to know that we're not making these changes for no reason. The name and logo have changed because we are becoming less of a Mozilla Developer Network and more of a site for Web Documentation. But the connection to Mozilla is still important for us to show. People should know who is making the website. We are also trying to make the article content the most important part of the page. For example, the large bold headings make it easier to see the headings when scanning the articles. Thanks for using MDN.
