When I reload Twitter on Nightly 20170710 (64-bit) on Linux, the stop -> reload animation plays, but ends on a frame or five of the "stop" asset before snapping to "reload"

Please see the attached gif for illustration.

Doesn't happen on every site, but it happens reliably on my Twitter feed for me.

What I believe is happening is that the initial load of twitter.com finishes, which triggers the animation, and then before the animation can complete playing, twitter.com loads another resource which finishes quickly. The second load causes the animation to cancel. Eric says that bug 1379480 mentions a possible way to continue playing the animation all the way through once it starts. Note too that bug 1379480 shortens the time of the animation to half the time so this may occur less with those changes.

Hey Chris, does this still look like a problem to you? We have landed some tweaks to the stop/reload animation and this might not be an issue anymore.

Seems as though it's been sorted. Thanks!
