Select File | Close, program UI disappears from desktop, but shows as still loaded in Task Manager. Sometimes an error DB about this is posted. Upgrading the Nightly does so, but it's not re-launched. Process has to be forcibly killed. One has to forcibly re-start. While running, everything seems to function properly. Probably related to 1319047.

Unlikely this is related to bug 1319047. How long are you running nightly builds? And on what date does the nightly build first hang on shutdown?

I've been running x64 nightly for a long time. The first instance of this happening was the July 11. I just opened TB, then clicked File | Exit, TM shows it was still loaded, so killed it. I tried it again, same behavior. TB will not shut down cleanly. Give me a procedure to troubleshoot this for your info. See attachment 8886420 [details] for details from earlier.

Looking at the report (attachment 8886420 [details]), this seems to be related to telemetry. There are a few recent changes to telemetry. Georg, could you take a look at this, please.
