1380942 - Need to have a SUMO page for Form/Credit Card autofill features

We plan to land Form Autofill and Credit Card Autofill features on release 57. Here you can find the wiki[1] and the UX spec[2][3].

In order to provide more information about credit/form fill features to end-user, in the UX design we provide a "learn more" link[4] that can direct users to the correspond SUMO pages, so please help to support this request and set up the correspond SUMO pages, thanks !

No the UI is finalized now. Also FYI, for the time being we will limit this feature to en-us build only. So you don't need to rush to have all pages for different locale ready for 56.

Joni, I can't find the new article.   SUMO KB article search is broken (bug 1388942).
I tried google searches for "autofill-card-address site:support.mozilla.org" "Form address autofill site:support.mozilla.org" and "Credit card autofill site:support.mozilla.org" but I only got results for existing articles and support forum questions.   What's the URL for the new article?

Bug 1386922 is now fixed. I found https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatically-fill-credit-card-information-forms/ by using the "Learn more" link next to "Autofill Addresses" in the Firefox 56 Beta Privacy & Security panel. However, there's currently no content for the new article.

That KB article link is now a Page Not Found and I no longer see "Autofill Addresses"  in the latest 56 Beta options.  I checked in nightly and the Learn more link https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/57.0a1/WINNT/en-US/autofill-card-address now redirects to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatically-fill-your-address-forms

Yes, it's still going to ship in Firefox 56 only for en-US builds that are located in the US. The feature will be rolled out to release channel users gradually over time with a SHIELD pref flip so users won't all get it on day 1. It is hidden from the Release Candidate builds (delivered to beta users) since that is testing what is shipping in release. Once the beta goes back to 57b1 then it will come back for beta users.

I still don't see autofill addresses in Firefox 56.0.2 en-US and I also don't see it in the latest Firefox 57 Beta, which just updated to 57.0

Hi Alice,

Address Autofill is still under the gradual rollout stage and will proceed on Fx57, so users might not see the feature on day 1 even their Firefox updates to 57.0.

Thanks.  I'll update the note in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatically-fill-your-address-forms that mentions the gradual rollout, so that Firefox 57 users will also see it.

Hi Joni, as the feature for credit card autofill is now in Fx58 beta and going to be released in Jan.23 next year, can you please to support this feature by setting up the corresponding SUMO page to guide our users? [1]

Besides for Fx58, we plan to land clear form function[2] and support form autofill feature for all locales in Fx59. Can you also help us to localize related SUMO pages for form autofill ?

Joni, did you mean to change the URL and title for the "Automatically fill in your address on forms" article?
In my Firefox 58 Beta (Windows 7)the "Learn more" links for "Autofill addresses" and "Autofill credit cards" go to 
https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/58.0/WINNT/en-US/autofill-card-address
... which redirect to a "Page Not Found" at

If you edit the article Description to change the slug but you don't click the "Save description" button (which could happen if you also want to edit the article content) then the description change won't stick, if I'm not mistaken.

The KB article redirects to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatically-fill-address-and-credit-cards/ 
The article currently includes a note that says, in part:
"Credit card autofill will not be available until Firefox version 58 at the earliest. For more information, including feature availability, see this Mozilla Wiki page."
... which links to https://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox/Features/Form_Autofill 

I don't see a Credit Card Autofill option, either in Firefox 60 or in Firefox 61 en-US. The Mozilla Wiki page just says,
"Credit Card Autofill: Not available." for Release and Beta. Do you have any more information? Should we change the note? Related discussion:

Correction: we won't archive this but we'll change this back to address autofill and remove mentions of credit cards.
