Hi. This browser is beautiful, yet it is Way too slow. Should I have to upgrade
my hardware just to load a web page as fast as Opera browser? I want to read a
web page as fast as possible. I want to not wait for my computer to open or
close windows when web pages start opening windows. Can this not be the fastest
graphical browser on earth? To me, graphics are of least importance compared to
readability of text. I may look again for a faster MDI (interface).
Reproducible: Didn't try
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any web page, such as http://www.yahoo.com
2.
3.
Actual Results: My computer grinds.
Expected Results: Should have immediately looked over the network to start
loading. New users may also not know what keyboard shortcuts for page navigation
exist: Ctrl+Sh+L is an extremely slow way to tell a browser to open a page of
your choice. Look how long it takes to open that little window for an URL!
Ctrl+Sh+L should just put the cursor in the address bar, perhaps.
"Ctrl+Sh+L should just put the cursor in the address bar, perhaps"
you mention two ways of entering a URL, and there are 2 keyboard shortcuts to
match, one for each: try Ctrl+L
"Should I have to upgrade my hardware just to load a web page as fast as Opera
browser?"
with this browser at this time, very probably. what hardware do you have? there
are other browser options that seek to remedy this situation

We know Mozilla has performance problems, and specific bugs are working on
issues to fix this. This bug is not one bit helpful.
INVALID.

Maybe you should try to lower the file and disk cache in prefrences.
I am currently using 512k mem cache and 4096 disk cache and it works way better
than the defaults. Also, i noticed the current 0.9.9+ build is quicker than the
stock 0.9.9
nrg
oops, i meant
