Mac OS X 10.12. 

[Steps to reproduce]:

1. Open FF 
2. Focus the "Search bar"
3. Using the Tab key navigate until your focus the check box from "Preferences"

[Expected result]:

The check box is focused. 

[Actual result]:

The check box can't be focused.
 
[Note]:

None of the check boxes can be selected. 

With Mac OS X 10.10 this bug is not reproducible.

Thanks for reporting this issue!

We'd like to know what's the "Search bar" you mentioned. Is that the search engine bar (on the right side of url bar) for triggering searching engine like Google or DuckDuckGo? Or the search at top right of preferences panel only for searching matched keyword within preferences?

Assuming the "search bar" you mentioned that is the search engine bar, but we cannot reproduce the keyboard navigation issue in Nightly on macOS 10.12.5. Not sure whether is that you touched some macOS preferences so that the issue happened.

Could you tell us more details and make a confirmation again? Thanks!

Hi Ricky,

I did a confusion between "Preferences" and "Performance".

Here are the steps to reproduce the reported issue:

1. Open Nightly and go to about:preferences
2. Focus the Search engine bar
3. Using the Tab key navigate until your focus the check box from "Performance"

Note: Please see the attached video, here I tested on Mac OS X 10.10 with the latest Nightly 65.0a1(2017-07-24) and this is the correct behavior. On Mac 10.12 the check boxes can't be selected.

It's still weird I cannot reproduce your STR (comment 2) for latest Nightly on my macOS 10.12.5. I can always use tab key to navigate to "Performance" checkbox.

I'd like to close this bug since the behavior is by design in macOS. Please see attachment.

"Text boxes and lists only" is the default setting on macOS so that the checkbox is unfocusable.

Please make sure "All controls" option is checked when testing accessibility.
