The settings tree (list of newsgroups, or settings on the left in the
preferences dialog) doesn't repond to mouse clicks.  Items wont open even.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Edit/Preference
2. Click on "Advanced", or even the triangle (or + sign) on the left.
3.

Actual Results:  Nothing happens, nothing can be selected, nothing expands

Expected Results:  The item should have either been selected or expanded.

I had this problem too. It seems to be a result of the XUL syntax changes to
tree/outliner. Creating a new profile did not help. I solved the problem by
completely uninstalling an older version, and then re-installing the new version.
