From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: 2002041711 some pages with few or many animated gifs cause mozilla to eat 100% cpu and become unresponsive to mouse or keyboard input, forcing user to end the mozilla process manually Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open browser 2.point it at http://www.virtual-hideout.net 3.watch mozilla consume all cpu! Actual Results: mozilla ate 100% cpu and had to be forcible killed using task manager Expected Results: rendered the page and remained responsive like internet explorer or opera does on the same page
seems to be a mix of several of the animated gif performance bugs like bug 86319, bug 94828, bug 125025. The tracker bug for this issue is bug 119597. Resolving as dup of bug 94828. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 94828 ***
