If you rename an mp4 to mp3, Firefox will presume it's an actual mp3 and not be able to play the file (it will only work as an mp4). Chrome does not have this problem, and seems to sniff the content before playing the file regardless of the incorrect extension. This also affects remote files, such as the one in the bug URL.
Blake - Works in Chrome but not in Firefox. I keep seeing this kind of issue so it would be good to fix. Can you find someone who can put this in their queue?

Alfredo,
It looks like it is in your wheelhouse.
Can you help it?
