Details

I noticed that whenever there's something to sync in Firefox Beta, the following locales are always synced, regardless if they changed in Pontoon or VCS or they didn't: fi,si,fr,zh-TW,pa-IN,ast,gl,be,pt-BR,ru. We use "hg status -a -m -r --rev=LAST_SYNCED_REVISION --rev=tip" when sync starts to check for any changes in VCS. We use "hg identify --id" when sync completes to update the LAST_SYNCED_REVISION to tip. But that's not really true if the tip is on a different branch as is the case for the aforementioned locales. See https://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n/mozilla-beta/si/graph for example. I think we should be good if we use "hg identify --id --rev=tip" instead.
Don't use 'tip', but use 'default' instead. 'tip' is evil, in general. Also, I expect the actual revision alias to use to be configurable in project configurations eventually.
Commit pushed to master at https://github.com/mozilla/pontoon https://github.com/mozilla/pontoon/commit/2e917788cc1208f91305b33c7054ce59d732e5be Fix bug 1383482: Replace tip with default (#637) Unify the way we reference the latest revision in Mercurial repos: 1. When determining the repository's latest revision 2. When comparing with the last synced revision to determine what changed since the last sync.
