Details

If a page is served as "application/xhtml+xml" the Back and Forward
commandos don't execute properly. The browser does move to the
correct page, but the pabe is not rendered. The old page still
displays. Using "Reload" makes the page actually indicated in
the URL field display.

The following six test pages domonstrate the problem:

<http://www.bertilow.com/div/moztest/backandforth/xhtml-xml/1.php>
<http://www.bertilow.com/div/moztest/backandforth/xhtml-xml/2.php>
<http://www.bertilow.com/div/moztest/backandforth/xhtml-xml/3.php>

<http://www.bertilow.com/div/moztest/backandforth/html/1.php>
<http://www.bertilow.com/div/moztest/backandforth/html/2.php>
<http://www.bertilow.com/div/moztest/backandforth/html/3.php>

The pages in "xhtml-xml" do not work properly in Mozilla.
The ones in "html" do. The only real difference is that the
former are served out as "application/xhtml+xml", while the
latter are served as "text/html".

I see this problem in Mozilla 1.0 RC1 under Linux RedHat 7.2
and KDE3.
To XML. Heikki, you already have similar bugs, no?

By the way, this worksforme, linux trunk build 2002-04-19-08. Is this branch-only?
Component: Browser-General → XML
