Details
STR: 1. Install an extension that uses `chrome_url_overrides` and `newtab` to override about:newtab. 2. Use the keyboard to open a new tab from an existing page Expected: Either the URL bar is blank with the cursor at the beginning of the location field, OR the 'moz-extension://' URL is selected so keystrokes will overwrite the existing location field value Observed: Cursor is sometimes placed at the end of the location field without selecting the existing URL, so when you type a new URL, it just appends it to the end of the existing URL.

(Uh, I should have added that it was filed previously under completely different terms, so it's no surprise that you didn't find it in a search. Thanks for filing this one to make it easier to search for! :)
