Validation is currently disabled on Beta and Release: http://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/rev/09c065976fd4f18d4ad764d7cb4bbc684bf56714/services/sync/services-sync.js#85-87

We could even consider enabling on 58 Release, though Alex points out the Beta population is large enough where we might not need this.
