I don't know why but the main page works flawless but every subdirectory does
not work. Seems to be quite similar to Bug: 109076, altough there is no redirect
(at least i have not seen one)

WFM Linux CVS yesterday. What Build are you using ?
Please read http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html
I Tried it with 2 mozilla builds:
2002031104 and 2002041306 (both have this problem)
on Windows XP with latest updates
I don't know how important this notice is (and i almost forgot to mention it),
but the build verison 2002031104
is the german de-at build of mozilla 0.9.9

wfm with win2k build 20020420.. ????
what's wfm?
why windows 2000?
I downloaded the newest version (build ID: 2002042106
the error still remains.
Preferences:
almost everything is default with cookies set to 'enable all cookies'
except that i set the Memory cache size to 65536kb and the Disk cache size to 0kb.

wfm= "works for me"with windows 2000 and build 20020420
Can you please try a new profile ?
run "mozilla -profilemanager" and create an additional test profile.
I tested it with a new 'test' profile it worked!
So i tried some 'optimizations'.
As long as i changed the cache size to: 65536kb Memory and 0kb disk cache.
Upon the next start the page no longer loaded! (and the entry on disk space is
empty! (no zero but empty)). The page could always be loaded if I selected clear
memory cache before loading the specific page.
