From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: Gecko/20020417 Mail, News, Preference, address book, and probably other windows will come up fine, but most items on these pages are then NOT selectable by clicking on them. I can access other menu items from mail (such a preferences), but again, those menu items do not respond once they are displayed. I'm running WinNT service pack 6 on an 800mhz Dell PC. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Browser 2. Click on mail, news, preferences, or other. Actual Results: Browser displayed menu itme correctly, but I was unable to interact with item. My mouse clicks had no effect on the items in the window. Within the brosser window it's self, all appears to be fine, and I can click on items as expected. The problem only appears to effect items which are opened from the menu. Expected Results: I should have been able to read mail, expand the prefferences menuse from the "+" to "-" and see the sub itmes. But there was no responce to my mouse clicks.
Summary: Mail, News and Preference munus display but are un-clickable → Mail, News and Preference menus display but are un-clickable
likewise for me, with Windows 2000 sp2 (5.00.2195), AMD k6 with 256 Mb, using the talkback enabled 1.0rc1 build (I don't have its build id since I've had to switch back to 0.9.9).
When I had this bug it also prevented me from pressing enter while in the location bar, I don't know id that is related. The work around is to uninstall and reinstall mozilla. Or install to a different location. I believe this is a problem with the tree control. It happens to a lot of people, so telling them the above workaround is not a valid solution.
