Description

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417
BuildID:    2002041711

This version of Mozilla doesn't show layers on this site http://zulieferer.bmw.de/.

It does work fine from Netscape 6.o thru 6.2.2 and Mozilla up to version 0.99+
but it doesn't work with this build of Mozilla.
However I got it working when using onmouseover event handler in a hotspot, but
I don't understand why the change in code was neccesary.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.alway the same. Every time I open the site: http://zulieferer.bmw.de/
2.every time I open the site: http://zulieferer.bmw.de/
3.every time I open the site: http://zulieferer.bmw.de/

Expected Results:  Show layer

If you move the cursor over "Wir über uns" a layer shoud be visible containing
some links. It doesn't work with this build of Mozilla for Mac OS.

Use Netscape 6.0 - 6.2.2 for Mac OS to see the difference.

It looks that this build of Mozilla doesn't ignore old Netscape 4.x code in
layer tags like previous builds.

Changing  onmouseover="showlayer('wirNs4')" to
onmouseover="if(document.layers){showlayer('wirNs4')}" does fix the problem.
It works for both this build of Mozilla and Netscape 4.

original code:
<div style="position:absolute; top:114px; width:123px; left:55px"
onmouseover="showlayer('wir')">
<LAYER  id="wir1" top="0" left="0" onmouseover="showlayer('wirNs4')">
<a href="/wir_ueber_uns" target="_top"><IMG SRC="/images/transp.gif" border="0"
width=123 height=21></a>
</LAYER></div>
