User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_9_5) AppleWebKit/601.7.8 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/9.1.3 Safari/537.86.7 Steps to reproduce: IMAP mail, new messages are listed, notifications appear for existing unread mail every time the client polls for new mail. Actual results: Pop up notifications appear Expected results: Pop up notifications only appear once for each new unread mail item.
I think that's not the expected behaviour. Pop-up notifications show a summary of unread messages and it is well possible that a previously notified unread message will be shown again. Right, Aceman?

To add more clarity. It is not only new mail that triggers repeated notifications, new mail notifications repeat every few minutes or more frequently even when new mail is not received.
Do you still see this when using version 60 from https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/channel/ ?
