From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: 2002041711 When logging into Hotmail there is a security warning that cannot be turned off. Although all options under Preferences -> Privacy and Security -> SSL are turned off, they are still there. There is also no checkbox that says "Never show this alert again" or somthing like that. I will try to attach a screenshot. This is on Windows XP Home, Moz 1.0 RC1 Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.go to www.hotmail.com 2.log in 3.look at the warning and try to find a check box to shut it off Actual Results: The warning appears everytime you log in to Hotmail. Expected Results: There should be an option to shut off the warning so it does not happen again.
Created attachment 80142 [details] screenshot of the security warning Here is the screenshot of the security warning. Notice there is no option to shut it off.
FYI...this also happens on grc.com and going to Shields UP! and clicking on either Test my shields! or Probe my ports!. Again...there is no option to shut it off.
Marking wontfix. The dialog box appearing in comment #1 is as per the spec. This warning is designed so that it cannot be turned off. However, the warning that I am seeing logging into hotmail with the 4/28 build gives a different warning with different wording, which can be turned off.
Verified. See bug 137251 for more explanation.
