Steps to reproduce:

After ff55b13 resolved most of my memory issues (cf.https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1384101) I finally can have Firefox running for over 2 days in a row, without a crash. That is cool.


Actual results:

Now, after 2 days,  new issue occurs. Links in the form https://www.google.com/maps/?q=50.305092,11.804648 do not open any more. They do not work, when I click a corresponding link or when I open a new tab and copy the URL by hand.


Expected results:

I would like to see the position on Google Maps.

Questions is, what tool do I need to document such a case?
To continue work, I need to restart the browser now. I will use the crash_firefox tool and attach the crash report here.

Crash did not create a crash report. Sigh. Everything fine again after restart. Will see, if I run in this case every again.

I have tested your issue on latest Nightly build and could not reproduce it. I have opened multiple tabs and pasted the link provided in the actual result. The position on Google Maps is displayed. Tried this also with Firefox Beta 55 and the result was the same.

For your User Agent I can see that you are using Firefox 32-bit on a 64-bit OS. Please, retest this issue using a Firefox 64-bit build. Here are the links: Firefox Beta ( https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/all/ ), Nightly ( https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/nightly/all/ ) and report back the results ? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d).

Hello :VladB I cannot reproduce the issue anymore myself. As the memory leak issue which plagued me for a year got a peak with 55 b11 (or so) and then a sudden stop with b12, I don't feel many recurring issues any more. Just to mention I am a bit unhappy with these "go 64bit" hints, cause it 1. turns out, memory consumption for me cut from 2.7GB and growing to 1.3 and stable and also I use Firefox for the addons of which many do not work in 64bit. I am also very tempted to avoid upgrading to v57, cause it will kill many of my precious plugins also. For now go ahead and close this bug.
