On Linux, when the sidebar is closed, a pair of tiny scrollbars are stuck in the upper left hand corner.

This happen because when a box is collapsed it makes all the views under it (0,0). So there are 2 solutions. 1) Fix it so on linix when a window is made 0,0 it is hidden. 2) Add a collapsed value enumeration to views so they can be collapsed.

Do you mean you might add a collapsed view to boxes? That would also make it easier to persist their state. Right now it is a little strange because the style holds the collapsed state and during that time, the style is saved some where else.
