Steps to reproduce:

download any file. find size value of the file.


Actual results:

download UI-control and download window ("Library -> Downloads") show some information about downloading file (when download in progress and when download is done). a size value of file is one of that information.


Expected results:


size of file value is incorrect:

example: I downloaded file with size 146 MB (146484348 bytes). but Firefox shows only 140MB.

(if Firefox means "MiB" (not "MB") -- that I expect see "MiB" postfix.. but Firefox shows "MB", and shows incorrect value for "MB")

Thanks for reporting. We should probably keep the same notation and unit as the operating system's file manager, depending on the platform, as suggested in bug 1147932 comment 1.
