User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Fedora; Linux x86_64; rv:54.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/54.0 Build ID: 20170613080647 Steps to reproduce: 1. Install Beta channel on HP Chromebook 13 2. Search for Firefox in play store 3. App listed as not-compatible Actual results: See attached screenshot, also step 3 above. Expected results: I'm not sure the exact reason for this, I assume it's because android.hardware.touchscreen is listed as a required feature in https://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/file/tip/mobile/android/base/FennecManifest_permissions.xml.in but can't be sure. I'm not sure if this should actually be listed as required or if that requirement can be relaxed in future releases. Having access to Mozilla Sync on ChromeOS would make the device far more useful for my particular usecases, plus it's pretty cool to run Firefox on ChromeOS :) I can of course sideload the application, but I would like to not have to turn on developer mode since this compromises the secure bootchain. https://developer.android.com/topic/arc/index.html#update-manifest

On Nov 2016 a reviewer installed Firefox for Android on a Chromebook with no issues, see "4 alternatives to the Chrome browser on Chrome OS", but commented "Firefox on Chrome OS ... only works with the touchscreen. Your trackpad is useless with this browser." So it seems there should be a bug for Firefox for Android to support trackpad input so that it runs better on Chrome OS and on a wider variety of Chromebooks. I too would love Firefox on Chrome OS; I have to buy an OS I don't want to run the browser I do want on a laptop.
[triage] Non-critical: we don't officially support Chromebook.
