RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 137033

Details

Bookmark folder icons (e.g., "Bookmarks") in the personal toolbar are not
behaving correctly. Ordinarily, the folder icon highlights when you mouse over
it (showing that it is "active"). This highlighting should then go away after
you click on the folder and select one of the links in the folder to visit.
However, this is not the case right now. The folder remains highlighted, even
though one's cursor is nowhere near the folder icon.
It turns out that this also happens with the Back and Foward buttons if you
click on the drop-down arrow and select a previous/subsequent link from your
browsing history.

I'm changing the summary to reflect this.

Also, I'm using build 2002041903.
Summary: Personal Toolbar: folder icons remain highlighted (e.g., Bookmarks) → Toolbar: icons remain highlighted (e.g., Bookmarks, Back)
This started happening after the recent checkins for bug 5693

- bug 137033: Bokmarks menu remain highlighted
- bug 137124: forward/back dropdown buttons stay active when not hovered

Bug 137033 is still open. Bug 137124 was dup'ed against bug 137067, resolved as
fixed. (Fix checked in on the 15th.)

Since your build is several days younger: Did you perform a clean install?
(An uninstall before installing, and preferrably deleting the "chrome" dir
unless you have other moz-related installations there)

Also: Which theme(s) are you seeing this with?
My build isn't "several days younger." It's from yesterday, obtained from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/nightly/latest/mozilla-win32-talkback.zip.
As you can guess, that means I don't use the installer.

It does look like a dupe of bug #137033.
The term "several" may have been unprecise: Your build is 5 days younger than
the fix. So it should contain the fix. But for some reason it still shows some
of the same sympthoms as fixed (?) bug 137067

Could it be that some older files from a previous build are not overwritten in
the dir you unpack to? Or that old files are left there, but shouldn't be?
Do you still see the bug if you delete all in the installation/unpacking dir
(and eventual "temp" directories used) and then try unpacking again?
I don't use any files at all from the older builds. I delete the old unpacked
/bin/ directory each time that I download a new build. The only files that
persist are my preference files.
I downloaded the latest build (2002042106) and the problem seems to be fixed.
Much gratitude towards the Mozilla team!
