User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/58.0.3029.114 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/1.9.818.50 Steps to reproduce: I used the VR support in Firefox 55.0.0.644, watch https://youtu.be/DC2nmGF0apM It always happens given enough time, on Sketchfabs it normally only works for a few seconds. The "Hello World" example lasts so long I have to do other stuff while waiting. Actual results: Firefox stops drawing VR content, see video bug happens at 01:14. Expected results: Should have kept drawing the 3D content.

Thanks for the detailed report. The video certainly helps. We will investigate further and may have some experiments for you to try to narrow this down further. One possibility is that we are seeing issues due to not handling D3D11 context loss properly. Once we land Bug 1400457 and Bug 1400407, we should re-visit this and see if the effect has been changed. Bug 1400457 in particular changes the way mirroring between the 2d monitor and headset works.

This issue is no longer reproducible on the following builds: Fx 62.0.3, Fx 63.0, Fx 64.0b3 and Fx 65.0a1. I am closing this issue.
