One of my use cases for Top Sites is to quickly browse to sites by clicking on them. One of the sites I visit often and used to access from Top Sites is twitter.com. However, since a few weeks, Top Sites seems to pick a more-or-less random page from the twitter.com domain rather than the root / that brings me to my twitter feed. This means the Twitter Top Site shortcut is useless to me.
This morning I deleted the particular page that it was linking to from my history. Top Sites shrunk to 9 pages immediately after that, but now the top spot is again filled by a random page from twitter.com.
I don't know how frecency scores play into this, maybe frequency should trump recency more for this particular use case? Both links were unrecognizable as something that I visited more than once or twice ever.

Do you usually go to https://twitter.com/ but those random pages are from https://www.twitter.com/ ? If so, this should have been just fixed by bug 1387694.
