Details

In Mozilla 1.0RC1, imported valid Thawte Freemail certificate that works in Outlook Express and Netscape 4. Imported as pkcs12. Selected it for use with e-mail account. When sending message as signed (didn't try encryption at same time), I get an error dialog saying the certificate could not be found or that it has expired.

there is a current limitation in the client. You need to configure the encryption cert as well.
There are other bugs that will address the underlying issue here. This particular bug offers little else in value.
