From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:0.9.9+) Gecko/20020419 BuildID: 2002041903 I almost constantly am notified that the mozilla-evangelism.bclary.com has been updated, however, it hasn't. Bob Clary, the site owner, says he hasn't even touched it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Bookmark mozilla-evangelism.bclary.com. 2. Configure the bookmark to tell you when the page is updated. 3. Wait. Actual Results: You will get a message saying the page has been updated at some point and it hasn't been. Expected Results: Mozilla shouldn't give the alert.
This is set to check every hour on Sundays, but it notifies every hour even when no change has been made.

I think I read somewhere that this feature is going to be removed. Can anybody confirm this and if so, mark this invalid.

Mac OS 9.1 Build 2002072908 I suspect mozilla to test also the expiration Date to notify a change. Every evening (in Paris) i receive notifications for: http://www.lysator.liu.se/~jonasw/freeware/niftyssh/ and http://www.adobe.com/special/webenabled/AWEXFiles.txt and others Theese page(or files) are not Changed, but expire every day If this is true,i suggest to remove the expiration test, or add a check box in properties to make this optionnal
Mac OS 9.1, Build 2002073108 Bookmark notification is crazy tonight, i got four notications for unchanged pages This time it is not an expiration date problem For exemple, i got a notification for: http://www.home.zonnet.nl/robschluter/htmltaglist/download.html Page info says: Modified: Tue, Sep 25, 2001 9:58:27 PM Expires: Sun, Sep 1, 2002 10:40:02 PM I received the notification at Aug 1, 2002 20:36 GMT, 22:36 local time. I have submitted Bug 157963 about problems for the dates shown in page info, but i hope that mozilla use the same code to compute the dates for notifications and Page info. I have also received notifications for: http://www.home.zonnet.nl/robschluter/htmltaglist/htl.zip http://developer.netscape.com/docs/manuals/communicator/dynhtml/dynhtml.tar.gz http://developer.netscape.com/docs/technote/dynhtml/css/reaz_dhtml.zip http://developer.netscape.com/docs/technote/javascript/eventhandler/r_event.zip No change...
It says at http://www.mozilla.org/quality/browser/front-end/testplans/browser-bookmarks.html: Won't Test/At Risk:(seeking community contributions) * Changing bookmarks location. * Manipulating IE Favorites (soon to be unsupported). * Bookmarks scheduling and notification(soon to be deprecated). I take it that deprecated means deleted. I am marking this invalid for that reason. If somebody knows that the feature will be kept, feel free to open it or let me know if you do not have the permissions.
