When using a web site with browser notifications enabled, the notification box appears as it should, but the box-shadow renders with a solid background rather than transparency, leading it to incorrectly obscure the content behind it.

Hello, are you on Linux? Which distro and window manager?
This sounds like what we saw with some window managers with transparency in UITour panels.
