Steps to reproduce:
Adress book does not sync all fields correctly when backend is owncloud. Example, if multiple 'work' e-mail addresses exist in owncloud, only one shows up in the Tb address book. Does not seem to be a bug in owncloud since multiple Android phones and tablet sync correctly from owncloud.

Sounds a bit like bug 228118 or bug 1373576.
What do you use for the sync?

Well, it's a problem of that add-on then, no? TB doesn't provide that functionality.

It could be but not necessarily. What other sync adapter is available to sync the Tb calendar with owncloud?
The discussion above was in the context of the address book but I also sync my calendar with my owncloud server, hence a need for a sync adapter for both.
I took a look at the date of the Inverse Sogo Connector on my system and despite being set to auto-update, it has not been updated since 2015... I visited the Sogo website and found the latest version of the same add-on and installed that.
I'll see if that resolves the issues. I do, however, need to figure out if/how I can force an update of the /entire/ address book in Thunderbird now when the latest version of the Connector is installed.
