User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build ID: 20170814142917 Steps to reproduce: File attachment and file save dialogues do not sort folders first in Thunderbord 52.2.1 (64-bit Actual results: It gives files and folders in strictly alphabetical order, not with folders first. Expected results: Should have given folders first to allow more efficient navigation
Can you reproduce this in Firefox, when for example saving a page as HTML file? As you may know, TB is using Mozilla Core functionality for many things it does, like the file picker you're talking about here. If the problem can be reproduced in FF, we move the bug to the FF queue. What Linux distribution are you on exactly? Richard, have you seen this problem?
The problem recurs in Firefox's file picker. I am using Firefox 55.0.2 (64-bit). My Linux distro is Linux Mint Debian Edition 64-bit. The problem does not occur in Firefox 52.0.2 (32-bit) that I have running in my same Linux system through PlayonLinux. Thank you for your help with this.
(In reply to Jonathan Slaff from comment #2) > The problem recurs in Firefox's file picker. Thanks for testing, so off to Mozilla core it goes. I think the file picker is in Core::Widget, I hope the appropriate people will take a look soon.
