Created attachment 8900796 [details] ff_self_cost.JPG User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.101 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce: Create and use a new Firefox profile. Visit https://mdn.github.io/performance-scenarios/js-call-tree-1/index.html. (used in https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Performance/Call_Tree) Open Developer Tools, Performance tab. Start recording performance. Click Sort button on the page. Wait a moment for sorting to complete. Stop recording performance. Open the Call Tree view. Expand some trees. Actual results: All but the top node of every tree has no self time, self cost, or samples listed; see attached image. This makes it very hard to figure out where the real cost is coming from in complex pages. Expected results: All nodes should have self time, self cost, and samples, just like in https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Tools/Performance/Call_Tree#Walking_up_the_call_tree.
I did a bit of investigation and nothing immediate popped out at me. I'm marking this as P2 since we're focusing our efforts on perf-html.io for now.
