From Bugzilla Helper: User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.0rc1) Gecko/20020417 BuildID: 2002041711 When the system is powered longer as a day and the navigator is also open, then navigator render win2000 useless. The screen turns white or an uniform color or a striped color, depending on the colors used n the last browsed URL. The system seems to accessable from remote. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: This is long time bug. 1. let your system and Navaigator active over the whole day and night. 2. Start browsing after the night in the morning. Actual Results: 1. Usual behaviour. Remote access, etc. works fine 2. After a while ~15min-1hour the system locks up as described above. Expected Results: normal behaviour or just dying of the navigator and not of the whole system. Similiar behaviour was encountered with a Netscape build 6.2. There behaviour stated much faster, but nevertheless also unexpected.
This looks more like hardware problem. Most common roots of such a behaviur are: a) semi-dead RAM chip, and b) lack of CPU cooling. Please run RAM heavy-load tests, and get sure your CPU cooler is pressed against CPU firmly enough, the fan is working fine, and there's no huge pile of dust inside the heatsink.
Display driver problem. ? Have you tried updating your display driver. Which display card do you have ?
