User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0
Build ID: 20170828100127

Steps to reproduce:

I middle clicked (with the scroll wheel) on a link to apen the tarket in a new tab.

Actual results:

The tab only opened after I clicked several times and pointed the cursor on different parts of the link text.

Expected results:

The new tab should have opened on the first click. It worked well in some cases, but had the tendency to not work othervise.
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0

I have tested this issue on Windows 10 x64 with the latest Firefox release (53.0.3) and the latest Nightly (55.0a1-20170830220349) and haven't managed to reproduce it.
After opening the browser, navigating to a webpage and midle click on different links for each link clicked a new tab is imediatly opened with the corresponding webpage.

Is this issue reproducible of a particular website?

Can you please retest this using the latest Firefox release and latest Nightly build and report back the results? When doing this, please use a new clean Firefox profile, maybe even safe mode, to eliminate custom settings as a possible cause (https://goo.gl/AR5o9d).

Firefox 55.01a is not the latest release of Firefox Nightly as of your comment. The latest release of Nightly is 57.01a. The reporter had the latest version when they tested it.
I could not reproduce your bug using your version on a clean profile (build id 20170828100127 nightly, version 57.01a), the latest version (build id 20170902100317 nightly, version 57.01a) on a clean profile, or the latest version using my profile. I will need info from you. Could you provide:
1. The details of the links that cause the bug (What website are they found on? Where do they go?)
2. A copy of your Troubleshooting Info (Click on the three lines at the top-right corner of your screen below the close button, then click help > troubleshooting information. Save the page by using Ctrl-S or clicking on the three lines, then clicking Save Page As... Then, click Attach File on this page and attach the file using the form. Don't worry about flags or any advanced options.)

Note: I realize I am canceling and starting a need-info request at the same time. I have provided the info needed for the previous request and want emilpasca to know this. I also need new info to continue solving the bug.
