Hi,

Can you please localize the following copy the "whats new" section in our Google Play for our upcoming release?

"-Added Multitasking to allow users to open and switch between multiple web pages"
Mike, we had a call a month ago about managing What's new for mobile products, and the outcome was: we're only going to localize What's new content for Firefox for Android, on a 6 weeks cycle. Other products are going to use in-product content via SUMO
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fOIdex-VPYnNE3lOAt2CFp3WijbisJ7SpKXvAZuJ3U4/edit#heading=h.pbk649w3se4j

I'm not sure I understand why this bug at this point. Delphine is out for the next 3 weeks, if needed I suggest to regroup after she's back.

As far as I'm concerned, this bug is a WONTFIX at this point.

Flod,

Yes, you are correct that we had that meeting about the WNP for our mobile apps and agreed to use SUMO (except for Android). Unfortunately, after follow up with the engineering team, Focus (for ios and android) currently doesnt have a system or way to show a WNP as a new tab so we cant handle WNP through sumo yet for Focus. This is something the team is looking into. In fact there are no "tabs" in Focus so we need to find the most appropriate path for this.

This is one line that we would like localized to support this major update.

I forgot to include the deadline: 9/13. Is this possible?

It would have definitely been useful to involve us in such discussion earlier, to give us a chance to plan.

At this point, I'd say no, even if it's just one string.

We dropped what's new completely on our side after that meeting, so I would need to restore templates and files, not exactly trivial. I'm covering for Delphine while she's on PTO, plus managing all my existing projects, and that leaves me very little time.

We dropped What's new for good reasons, adding it back without a proper discussion is not something I want to do (and Delphine should be a stakeholder in that discussion).

Okay, we will pass on localization of wnp content for this release. I tied up with the team, and surfacing a wnp in the app is on the roadmap.
I'm sorry but this was never discussed with me either. We will not be doing the What's New for Focus, whether Android or iOS. This is not what we agreed to. If we need to regroup, let's. But the situation hasn't changed on l10n side, so we can't cover for this.
