Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:53.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/53.0
Build ID: 20170413192749
Steps to reproduce:
brought up mlb.com streaming video as mp4
Actual results:
Video window comes up properly, but prompts on the pop-up page do not allow selection,
selectable items: line score, volume adjustment, video source do not high-light and do not operate.
Expected results:
when the mouse cursor rolls over one of the prompts, it ought to be high-lighted and when selected allow sub-menus (or volume slider) to work.

53 does not have this problem. I reverted to version 53. Since I like to watch baseball, this means 55.0.3 is a show stopper. I see where 53 no longer allows downgrade. How unfortunate. I'm reluctant to try version 54.

That means the issue may not be related to Firefox. Have you tried Safe Mode? https://support.mozilla.org/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

I tried Safe Mode and since the player requires Adobe Flash, it would not run. However, when restarting Firefox after Safe Mode, the select fields where all active. Other than Flash and a couple of required add-ons (Open H24 Video Codec & Widevine Content Decryption), I only have Adblock Plus. I'll see what happens after another restart.

Bug solved. After restart the pop-up page works properly now. I did change Flash to ask to activate.
Also, you are correct 55.0.2 behaved the same way.
I suggest that this might be one of those items that other folks could encounter so documenting that although Safe Mode didn't accomplish anything directly, it did affect the behavior of Firefox on restart afterwards.
Thank you for the education. Keep up the great work.
