User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.12; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build ID: 20170824053838 Steps to reproduce: Simply visiting web sites (multiple). Specific examples include, but are not limited to, squarespace.com, mint.com, eventbrite.com, openflights.com. Actual results: Very slow page loading, and constantly getting a yellow banner saying "A web page is slowing down your browser. What would you like to do?" Then I get options to 'stop it' or 'wait' or to close the banner. Occasionally, the banner disappears on its own, presumably as it actually loads the page. Expected results: Page should load properly.
Hi Elliot, I tested this issue on Mac OS X 10.12 with Firefox 55 Release and also with Nightly 57.0a1(2017-09-03) i used the links that with provided but i wasn't able to reproduce this issue. I used a new profile without addons. Please try the followings: 1. Please create a new profile, you have the steps here:https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Managing-profiles#w_starting-the-profile-manager 2. Please test if the issue can be reproduced in the safe mode of Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

The WebCompat team might be able to help troubleshoot on a particular site, if you can get them more info.

Hello, > Simply visiting web sites (multiple). Specific examples include, but are not limited to, squarespace.com, mint.com, eventbrite.com, openflights.com. Webcompat here. We can try to investigate specific site with steps to reproduce the issue and contextual information on how to reproduce. I agree with Valentina. The first step would be to see if you can recreate the slowness issue in Safe Mode (aka without addons.) Then if it doesn't reproduce, it probably means that one of your addons is creating the issue. Tell us more. :)
