idle.OnStateChange / idle.IdleState does not support "locked" value in Firefox

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.113 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce:
Per the documentation[1] Firefox does not support the "locked" value for idle.OnStateChange. This can be reproduced by locking the computer and observing that it does not return the "locked" value.
Actual results:
No event is generated when the computer is locked.
Expected results:
idle.OnStateChanged should return a "locked" value when the computer is locked.
This is the first bug I have submitted to bugzilla, so please feel free to provide feedback so I can submit better bugs in the future. Thanks.

Does Firefox know when the computer is locked, or would that have to be added to Firefox so we can expose the API?
Priority: -- → P5
Summary: idle.OnStateChange / idle.IdleState does not support "locked" value in Firefox, which decreases the security of password management addons. → idle.OnStateChange / idle.IdleState does not support "locked" value in Firefox

A quick look implies the latter.
Documentation for idle.IdleState (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/idle/IdleState) does not that it supports "locked" as a value, but methods to return this appear that they do not support "locked".
I did some quick tests in both 56 and 57 on Windows 10 using the example documented here in idle.onStateChanged (https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/idle/onStateChanged).
Thanks!

I believe that as a result, the locked -> active transition is also not supported. I was in need of a "wake" event to find out when FF resumed from sleep, but no such event is fired.

Would like see this addressed as well since it has been over 8 years since this issue was reported. Also Firefox remains the only mainstream browser without this feature, and this has been the case for many years and nearly 80 versions. Thank you!
