Actual results: Snapshot tool complains with notification 'Page is not regular, cannot take snapshot'. Expected results: Snapshot function should be possible. Thanks!
what snapshot tool would that be? Is that provided by an add-on? If so you'll need to be contacting the add-on author.

This was discussed on GitHub in https://github.com/mozilla-services/screenshots/issues/2967 . Taking snapshots of SVGs are not something we're targeting with the current feature.

This is bearable for the time being. In that full-screen snaps are usually possible. May be easier to fix when rebase/refactoring with regard to canvas /anon content is complete. Being that I barely know what I'm talking about there.
Product: Cloud Services → Firefox

What is the reasoning for not fixing this? (at least now, four years later)
Taking screenshots of pages which contain SVGs works.
Taking screenshots of just the SVG element in a page works.
Taking screenshots of JPGs, PNGs, and other image types displayed in a tab on their own (without a surrounding HTML document) works.
Taking screenshots of other media files like webm (playing in a tab without surrounding HTML document) works.
Taking screenshots of SVGs with the developer tools works.

All the functionality for capturing SVGs is fully there already, but for some reason seems not to be enabled for SVGs.

I've opened a new bug 1750854 to track this for the new browser component implementation. We don't have a target milestone for that work yet, but there is active development.
