Created attachment 8903961 [details] Screen shot with a camera as software screen shots don't catch the message Steps to reproduce: * Visit https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp , fill in the Social Security Number fields (with any digits), submit the form. * Ignore the error and tell Firefox to save the password. * Visit https://sa.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp again. * Remove the pre-filled "password" and left-click in either the first or second Social Security Number field. Expected: * Display "<key> No username" to indicate a saved password without a connected user name. Actual: * The display is "<key> No user...". (And hovering over the truncated message doesn't show the full message.) This isn't a screen size issue--there is plenty of space in the window to show the text. And the message isn't constrained by the field size as it extends well past the end of the form element.
Hmm I think the popup auto-sizes to the width of the input box (and you're hitting the min-width). This might be a WORKSFORME, but I can't find the relevant bugs right now, but I'm leaving it open for now.
Shouldn't the min-width be changed to avoid this ugly condition? The "No username" is a Mozilla supplied string.
