Steps to reproduce:

0. Set Nightly as your default browser
1. Open one or several tabs in Nightly
2. Open Apple Mail
3. Open Email with a link in it
4. Click said link



Actual results:

Webpage behind the link opens in Nightly's current tab, overwriting the current contents


Expected results:

Nightly should open a new tab for the clicked link

How links are opened isn't handled by shell integration. This is possibly command line handling or tab handling.

I tested your issue on Mac OS x 10.10 and Mac OS x 10.12 and I can't reproduce on Nightly 57.0a1 with
Build ID  20170919220202 
User Agent  Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:57.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/57.0.
Can you please update your Nightly, because I saw that you have a build from 08.31.2017 and it's an older version?
