Can't change themes.
Please read http://www.mozilla.org/quality/bug-writing-guidelines.html and provide the minimal amount of information (build id, steps to reproduce, etc) that would be needed to figure out the problem. Changing themes works fine here, linux trunk build 2002-04-22-07.
Sorry for the missing info, build 2002041711, Windows XP and Windows 2000 Pro. Click view | Apply theme | select any theme, re-start browser and it's the classic theme.
it is still difficult to full understand your test step. you didnot tell which theme are used before you change theme, and what is your expected result.
The starting theme is classic, I tried to change to modern, when that didn't work I downloaded another called pinball. The expected result would have been the theme that I had selected.
Also let me add that I did shut down the browser and started it back up.
Tom, currently, if you switch from classic to modern or modern to classic, the classic or modern theme is not completely performed. There is a way to work around for now by switching back to modern or classic twice. Here is the bug number: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133666 Steps to reproduce: 1. If you launch netscape (ie: it's modern theme). 2. Switching back to classic themes by selecting view > apply theme...> classic 3. Notice the classic theme is not completely performed. 4. Do the step#2 again. (this is a work-around for now) So same as if you launch netscape if it's classic theme, then you want to switch back to modern theme. Follow the steps of how to reproduce it. I just verified on windows 98 using both branch build (2002-04-29-08-1.0.0) and commercial trunk (2002-04-29-08-TRUNK)
Hi; I think that this might be the same bug that I've just run into. I'm running a Win 2K box with Mozilla RC1 build ID 2002041711. If I try to change themes using edit > preferences > themes, select theme, close Mozilla and then reopen, the theme has not changed. BUT: I also have quicklaunch enabled. Checking the taskmanager shows that even if Mozilla is closed, it still has a process present. Killing the process from taskmanager, and then reopening, does result in a successful theme change.
possible dupe bug 133666 has been fixed, can anyone reproduce this ?
no reply, possible dupe fixed, resolving WFM reporter please reopen if you can still reproduce with a current build
