bugzilla.mozilla.org will be intermittently unavailable on Saturday, March 24th, from 16:00 until 20:00 UTC.
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0 Build ID: 20170824053622 Steps to reproduce: opened the page inspector on a page that used HLS Actual results: all m3u8 files weren't listed on the media tab (subtab under network analysis) Expected results: m3u8 is obviously always some kind of media files so it should be listed there :) Regards

Thanks for the report! Can you please provide a simple test case that would help to reproduce the issue on our machines? We also need detailed instructions what to do with that page. Honza

Sure! :) Two examples: http://www1.wdr.de/mediathek/video/sendungen/lokalzeit/video-lokalzeit-am-samstag-240.html http://www.adultswim.com/videos/bobs-burgers/the-gene-courtney-show/ (maybe you need to choose another movie from http://www.adultswim.com/videos/bobs-burgers/ since this one expires on Oktober 2nd, it doesn't matter which one) Open the video, open network analysis tab in the inspector, reload the page Filter for media: you only see .ts files, but not the master.m3u8 or the bobsburgers_cc_601_Digital_GeneCourtneyShow_stream_full.m3u8 file But those are clearly media files, even though it's kind of meta. They are part of Apple HLS and playlist files, that show the browser where to find the section files of the stream. They contain links to several programs (different audio language and resolutions that the browser can choose from) Sometimes the m3u8 file also only links subtitles like WebVTT (like on adult swim). But that's still media. WDR m3u8 files are listed under "misc" and AdultSwim under "XHR". They should be in only one category IMO Regards, Djfe PS: What I can't do, is provide an actual test case. (if that's what you meant instead) I haven't developed anything for Firefox, yet. And this is rather complicated since you need to set up an HLS server or some kind of emulation (test input) to be able to test it.
