This site does not only boycott Netscape, it also denyes access to Linux/Mac
users, forces IE users to set cookie management to "accept all cookies" and
blocks part of the site to Win95 and WinNT4 users !

Here is (in French) what the site says about visiting requirements:

Système d'exploitation Microsoft® Windows 98 ou plus récent (à l'exclusion des
systèmes d'exploitation Windows 95 et Windows NT 4.0 qui peuvent naviguer mais
ne pourront pas obtenir les licences nécessaires à l'utilisation des morceaux
téléchargés) comprenant Windows Media Player 7.1 et Internet Explorer 4.0
(certaines fonctionnalités peuvent différer selon les versions d'Internet Explorer).

Pour surfer uniquement : vous avez besoin d’un système d’exploitation Microsoft®
Windows 95 (et toutes les versions supérieures ou égales 95) ou NT 4.0
comprenant une version d’Internet Explorer supérieure ou égale à 4.0.

En cas d'utilisation d'un périphérique portable, un logiciel Microsoft®
ActiveSync® 3.0 est nécessaire.

Les fonctionnalités de virginmega.fr ne sont pas compatibles avec les
navigateurs Netscape et avec les configurations informatiques Linux.
Les utilisateurs de Systèmes d'exploitation Mac peuvent naviguer sur le site
mais n'ont pas accès aux fonctionnalités d'écoute de musique ni de téléchargement. 
Virginmega ne saurait en aucun cas être tenu responsable en cas de disparition,
perte, détérioration et notamment de tout dommage susceptible d'altérer
l'équipement tel que décrit plus haut.

still asks me to download IE Win or Mac.

The site doesn't like Linux.  I changed my UA string to indicate that I was on
Linux and it gave an error to the effect that I needed Windows 98+ to be able to
view the site.  So spoofing the UA is a workaround.

I don't see why this bug is marked as fixed. Mozilla on linux is still
discriminated.

I wrote them an e-mail:

Pour des raisons de sécurité notre société utilise exclusivement des
navigateurs de la fondation Mozilla sous Linux.

Néanmoins il nous est impossible de visiter votre site alors même que
ces navigateurs sont parfaitement respectueux des standards du web
établis par le w3c. 

Il semble que votre site fonctionne tout à fait sur ces navigateurs et
systèmes d'exploitation mais que vous utilisez un script qui redirige
aveuglément ceux-ci sur une page d'erreur.

En trompant votre site en modifiant le "User Agent" de mon navigateur
pour lui faire croire que nous utilisons Windows votre site fonctionne
en outre parfaitement.

Merci de bien vouloir remédier à ce problème.

En effet, il est difficile de comprendre pourquoi vous empêchez artificiellement
une partie de vos clients potentiels d'accéder à votre site alors même que
celui-ci fonctionne déjà sous Linux.

Works for me on Ubuntu Linux w/ Firefox 20 now (and anyway it's been 11 years since this bug was first opened, 8 since last touched, the site was redesigned a few times during that period...)
